“ The most unique coffee I think I've ever had maybe? This coffee shop was on our list of recommendations, so we set out looking for it. Otherwise, it is a little hidden so I am not sure we would have come across it. I am SO happy we did because I loved my drink. So refreshing and tasty and different. I asked the waiter taking orders what he recommended and he said the Trago #2 was his favorite. My friend got that one and I switched it up with the Tago #1. I LOVED it. It was iced coffee, tonic and lemon zest. I honestly couldn't understand much from the menu so it was a lucky hail mary. Love the bit of carbonation and the hint of lemon. If you are walking around Coyoacan, definitely pay this great little coffee shop a visit. There isn't much seating, but everyone seemed to just hang out outside, sipping and standing and relaxing. We did just that for a few minutes and then took our drinks for a walk around the area. ”

“ My favorite coffee shop in Coyoacan. A small, intimate setting, you can watch your coffee being prepared and the presentation is elegant. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the bean selection is limited. I wish they carried beans from around the world, or at least from other parts of South and Central America. ”

“ After having a couple of cocktails at lunch, I needed an afternoon pick me up to continue exploring Coyoacan for the day! We stopped by Café Avellaneda for an espresso each. Inside is tiny, but we got a few comfortable stools at the bar and enjoyed our great espressos. The service was great - as were the coffees. Don't hesitate to stop by if you need a caffeine pick me up and are in the area! ”

“ Cafe Avellaneda is a small coffee shop in Coyoacan. Walk into the small space on a street with colorful houses and order from the barista. They have homemade pastries and a full coffee menu. My latte was small, but good! My wife's cold brew came in a TINY cup and the ice cubes in it was an odd touch. Despite that, it tasted good! ”

“ If you got up early to wait in line for the Frida Kahlo museum only to be told it's an additional 3.5 hour wait (after already waiting 1 hour) and you don't have all day to wait for a ticket.. all because you didn't book them in advance online..... then stroll on over to Cafe Avellaneda for a nice espresso! It's about 15 mins away, but a nice walk where you'll pass a park and the market. It's a very small space, and we were lucky enough to snag bar seats before a rush came in. Menu can be simple or as complex as you want your coffee to be made. They have a lot of bean choices that you can get pourover, chemex, maybe even aeropress? but we opted for a latte and cortado. Their whole squirrel theme is cute. and I liked the cozy vibe of the place. ”
